Company History
- Magnolia Exterminating Company was established in 1972. The Company
first focused its service on Medical Facilities. This was due to our
background in disease vector control or medical center pest control.
Our first contracts were with large hospitals in the Jackson area
- UMC, Baptist, and Hinds General. We then added clinics, other medical
facilities, and homes to our customer base. Today, we still service
these same hospitals. In addition, we now serve St. Dominic and Central
Mississippi South and North Hospitals. We service, on a regular basis,
over 1000 homes each quarter.

Our management
staff has over 40 years of experience in pest and disease vector control.
Some of our technicians have come from families with many years of
experience in the pest control field.

Our technicians
have all completed MPCA classes as well as scientific pest control
courses from Purdue University in Indiana. All are continually studying
new products and techniques. Some have graduated from the Pest Control
Academy in Arizona. All technicians are CERTIFIED by the Department
of Agriculture. To become CERTIFIED, a technician will have years of experience and hundreds of hours of classroom training then pass one of the hardest test ever given by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture.

is our consulting entomologist and has been for years. Dr. Goddard
is the author of "The Medical Importance of Arthropods," which is
used in medical schools to teach Doctors about illnesses caused by
insects. Dr. Goddard is also involved in the pest control industry
and is invited to speak at conferences and conventions everywhere.
